Let’s start outside the office, what are some of your passions beyond work?

“I have many interests and try to pursue as many as possible, from watching movies and sports, to practicing yoga and cooking. I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking. In the last year, I was fortunate enough to have two significant outdoor adventures. The first was a 7-day, 120+ km moderate hike in the Himalayas - Kashmir Great Lakes, where we camped each night by a different lake high in the mountains. The scenery was breathtaking; the serenity indescribable. The second was a grueling 25 km trek with a total altitude gain of 1566 meters, all of which had to be completed in 12 hours.”

How did your career path lead you to your current role at Celonis?

“I began my career in the US as a manufacturing engineer specializing in Surface Mount Technology. This role sparked my interest in quality, leading to certifications and a position at Bank of America, where I transformed business processes. I further honed my expertise with a Master Black Belt certification in Lean and Six Sigma, and transitioned into a teaching role, sharing my knowledge internationally. At Wells Fargo, I standardized Process Improvement and introduced Celonis to optimize engagements. I stood up the Process Mining COE and ran the Celonis program for over 3 years.

Returning to India, I joined Celonis, eventually leading the India and APAC Services team. The opportunity to establish the Value Engineering (VE) team in India was a natural progression, leveraging my diverse experiences for this exciting new role.”

What does your role look like today?

“I lead the Value Engineering team in India, where Celonis is experiencing rapid growth! Many large Celonis customers have Global Competency Centers (GCCs) here, and the number of Celonis practitioners based in India is skyrocketing, with some COEs run out of India. My team will provide essential Value Engineering support from India, including POVs, workshops, and enablement sessions. Additionally, we'll boost product adoption through AI hackathons, Orchestration Engine days, and Supply Chain boot camps.”

For those less familiar — what exactly is Value Engineering, and what makes it such a compelling field?

“Value Engineering is all about helping the customers maximise their Celonis investment. What makes it exciting is that the Value Engineer (VE) is present in every step of the customer journey. From delivering customised demos to get the customer excited about the product to delivering PoV where they experience Celonis for the first time. Once on-boarded, VEs analyze data-driven insights and host workshops to develop optimal solutions, guiding customers toward value realization.”
