Leo Ebert Gómez, Associate Consultant, Galaxy Program, Madrid
“Initially, I doubted the impact of a 2-month internship. However, the Services team provided genuinely impactful projects.”
Leo’s internship included building a tool that didn’t exist before, one that helps clean up EMS by deleting unused KPIs, filters, and variables. He recently saw a consultant still using it.
“Seeing a consultant use my tool recently and finding it still impactful was a highlight.”
His journey began years earlier, when a guest lecture on process mining caught his attention.
“What drew me to Celonis was a 2019 guest lecture on process mining by Janina Bauer (VP, Global Head of Sustainability at Celonis), specifically the Lufthansa use case, which fascinated me and led me to later apply for the summer internship.”
He stayed because the work, and the people, exceeded expectations.
“I love working with data, solving complex problems creatively, and generating customer value. The leadership, especially my managers managing style and conversations with my team, also convinced me. Finally, the Madrid office’s outstanding activities sealed the deal.”
Leo took full advantage of his time as an intern, going deep into the tech stack.
“My internship provided hands-on experience with Action Flows, views, and the ML workbench, making me a mini-expert, even a consultant acknowledged my in-depth knowledge!”
What keeps him energized now?
“Being surrounded by an incredible team and facing new challenges daily. This combination assures me I’m in the right place.”
Proudest achievements:
- “Being part of a project involving a custom process with high technical complexity and implementing value-ready tasks.”
- “Organizing a padel activity on Impact Day. We raised over €360 for a good cause, enjoying a fantastic afternoon with colleagues while making a real difference.”
Favorite Celonis value: “We Own It – even in my junior role, taking ownership is incredibly important.”
His advice to future interns: “Go for it! My internship offered real impact from day one! Beyond the work, the people are amazing, I built lasting friendships. The supportive leadership and vibrant office culture (shout-out to Madrid!) made it an invaluable experience.”
