Employee Stock Option Plan

Every Celonaut literally owns it, because we’re all partial owners in the company. All full time employees are gifted restricted stock units (RSUs) when they join the company, because we believe this creates strong alignment between our employees’ interests and Celonis’ goals. Together, we strive for the long term success of Celonis and know our contributions help us scale over many years.

Bayerischer Rundfunk: our origin story

It all started with an idea. Three university students were asked to fix an IT service problem for a Bavarian broadcasting company. After considering traditional methods of process improvement, they thought, “There has to be a better way.” And so, Celonis was born…

1,500 handwritten letters

Our founders wanted some of the world's biggest companies to support Celonis when we were just a lean startup, so they decided to take an innovative approach. They sent 1,500 handwritten letters to executives of German businesses, and dozens of them turned into solid sales leads.

Impact Days

Celonis Impact Days are dedicated opportunities for employees to volunteer and contribute to social causes and community initiatives. These days allow Celonauts to give back by participating in activities that positively impact society, with the company encouraging team-based community service. Employees can engage in these activities three times per year, supporting Celonis' commitment to social responsibility and making a meaningful difference in the world.

Academic Alliance

We believe in educating our youth as the next generation thought leaders in data and process science. We launched the Celonis Academic Alliance in partnership with the world’s leading universities and schools to empower and encourage the process miners of tomorrow. Here, we facilitate learning and experiencing the power of Process Mining across the globe.

We are building bridges through education — offering free software access and a variety of learning and teaching materials like case studies, e-learning certificates, guest lectures, and workshops. To date, we have over 30,000 academic users, we partner with 200 universities, and have supported over 600 classes.

How we live this value

Transition from On-Premise to Cloud

Our move from on-premises to the Cloud aimed to boost productivity and efficiency, addressing execution gaps. With biweekly updates and proactive software monitoring, we've improved product quality, customer service, and value. By dedicating six months to building a solid technical foundation, we completed a transition typically taking years in just over 1.5 years. Our simplified app development approach enables seamless operation of multiple microservices, aligning with customer needs. Rapid adoption of Celonis by over 90% of customers in 2019 and 2020 led to our recognition as the Best SaaS in the U.S. Category at the 2018-19 Cloud Awards.

Launching the Process Intelligence Platform

In 2023, we launched our Process Intelligence innovations to enable faster, more substantial value creation for businesses by providing deeper insights into their processes, including the Process Intelligence Graph. Combining the power of process mining and AI integration, Process Intelligence introduced Process Copilots which allow users to quickly ask AI-driven questions about their processes, streamlining data analysis across all levels of the organization. This combination of AI and process intelligence aims to provide deeper insights into supply chain management, customer experience, and operational efficiencies, simplifying processes and positively impacting customers’ top line, bottom line, and green line value.
